Internship: Project Management and Standardization

Are you a student in higher education looking for an internship in an international design company? Then you might be the one we are looking for in our Quality and Procurement department at Design Eyewear Group. 

At Design Eyewear Group, we design, develop, and market iconic eyewear brands that are sold worldwide. Fantastic design defines our brands and is at the heart of our business. Our work environment is informal, international, and diverse, with daily contact with customers and skilled colleagues. We have offices in Aarhus, Paris, London, Bilbao, and San Francisco.

Project Description:

The goal of the project is to standardize as many components as possible across our brands. We aim to use as few types as possible to align our products and achieve savings. This will lead to reduced inventory of spare parts, optimization of our own production, increased product knowledge, simplified products for our customer service, sales team, and customers, and ultimately an improved customer experience.

responsibilities:

• Map the current components in our eyewear; hinges, screws, nose pads

• Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these components

• Evaluate the performance of the different options on our eyewear

• Assess the visual design and quality

• Investigate price differences and their impact on standardization

• Implement standardization of specific hinges, screws, nose pads, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong business acumen

• Experience with process optimization

• Proficient in Excel

• Ability to read technical drawings

• Technical aptitude is an advantage

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken ​​​​​​​
