Eyewear Designer

FULL TIME / AARHUS, DENMARK

At Design Eyewear Group, we design, develop, and market iconic eyewear brands that are sold worldwide. Great design is what defines our brands and is at the heart of our business. Our work environment is informal, international, and diverse, with daily contact with customers and skilled colleagues. We have offices in Aarhus, Paris, London, Bilbao, and San Francisco.

We’re looking for a Designer to join our Danish Design Team and work on creating unique eyewear collections and related projects. We trust our designers to be experts in their field, and after a thorough introduction, you’ll have a clear scope, real ownership, and a direct impact on how we shape our collections true to the DNA of the brand and keep it relevant in the market. We’re looking for a team player who naturally enjoys working closely with others.

What you'll be doing

You’ll step into a role with real responsibility from the start. That means owning design tasks across eyewear elements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and being trusted to make things happen. Some days will be more strategic, others hands-on. We won’t micromanage, but we will expect you to care, speak up, and take initiative. We’ll expect you to be a team player with a natural approach to be working closely together as a team. Your role will require you to be primarily physically present at the office throughout the week.

Concrete tasks

  • Design new eyewear frames – both opticals and sunglasses from concept to final design including colour charts.
  • Create supporting elements for trade fairs (e.g., booth visuals, displays)
  • Prepare technical drawings and design specifications for production
  • Work with suppliers on prototyping and sample follow-up
  • Travelling for various design related purposes

what you bring:

  • You have experience with design within fashion, lifestyle, or aesthetically oriented products
  • You keep track of multiple projects and deadlines
  • You can create and finalize design concepts independently
  • You handle design iterations even when timelines are tight
  • You are fluent in English (Danish is a plus)
  • You’re skilled in digital design tools

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Experience with eyewear design
  • Skills in 3D modeling software (e.g., Rhino)

What you'll get

You’ll dive into varied and challenging workdays, teaming up with people from all over the world. Expect a laid-back vibe where humour is welcome, and collaboration and a great working atmosphere really matter. Here’s what you can expect from us:

  • A salary that matches your experience and skills
  • A creative and alive working environment
  • Lunch agreement
  • Pension scheme and health insurance
  • Solid onboarding: we won’t just drop you in and hope for the best
  • A say in how we work – we welcome feedback and build better ways together
  • From time to time, we organize social events like Friday bars, summer party, Christmas party, and more
